Birds on Bikes: Cycling South Connecting the Current of Change.

An artist collective, a multi-disciplinary interactive art project, and a bicycle tour down the Pacific Coast from Vancouver, Canada to the U.S.A/ Mexico border. June – September 2011.

Four emerging artists; Hailey Gooch, Lauren Everall,  Josie Mitchell, and Haley Hunt-Brondwin upon graduating university and with passions for a slightly divergent path, undertook an investigation of the creative inspiration required to live a healthy, art-full, environmentally conscious life. Visiting inspiring people – artists, farmers, activists, writers – with the simple question of ‘How do You Live?’ the Birds documented their interviewee’s projects, tales and wise words, and their own quest for  how to cultivate an intentional, meaningful and prosperous life through photos, drawings, writing and film. A book and other media responses are still currently in progress.
