Wildness in the pursuit of perfection. This series of work looks at the obsessive efforts to control life wherever possible, in spite of the inevitability of continual growth and change and decay. Through tapestry weaving, Haley Hunt-Brondwin explores the beautiful “impoliteness” of the wildness within us all. With the best of intentions to make a “perfect object” through imperfect means, the creation made in this manner is always destined to fail. Yet failure is only one face of what is also an unexpected celebration of the tenacity of life; of wildness.
