Spill, 2016

Shown as part of a group exhibition entitled What Will We Do With These Natural Gifts? at the Toast Collective May 12th to 21st, 2016, with Hailey Gooch, Lauren Everall, Jo Peters and Liz Toohey-Wiese.

Show statement:

What Will We Do With These Natural Gifts? considers five artists’ understanding of separation and disconnection to nature, one-sided relationships to space and place, while attempting to reconnect to the natural world. These attempts are heavy-handed at times, and embrace failure and miscommunication. The exhibition encompasses sculpture, painting, collage, and textiles, each work responding to our shifting relationships to surrounding natural spaces, and reconsidering traditional notions of landscape art in the contemporary moment. This is the fourth group show by Lauren Everall, Haley Hunt-Brondwin, Liz Toohey-Wiese, Jo Peters and Hailey Gooch.
