Shield explores visibility. It is an investigation of directness and ambiguity. A conversation between the push to share and reveal and the pull to withhold and conceal. The larger tapestry, with vibrant colour hangs in front of the small chaotic weaving secluded behind it. Loose weft threads, usually meticulously tucked away, are visible, playing with what is the “right side” to be visible.
